SAGRADA is dedicated to advancing the understanding of psilocybin’s therapeutic benefits. Via acknowledgment and support of the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, we aim to help shift the perception of mushrooms from recreational to therapeutic. With over 100 studies currently underway in the U.S., Johns Hopkins is committed to education and supporting scientific research. To further support these groundbreaking studies, a portion of proceeds from every SAGRADA experience will be donated to the Johns Hopkins Psychedelic Research Center.
About the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic & Consciousness Research
The Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research aims to advance the scientific understanding of psychedelics and their potential for treating mental health disorders, enhancing well-being, and expanding our understanding of consciousness. After psychedelic research was halted in the 1970s due to media coverage and restrictive regulations, Dr. Roland Griffiths and colleagues at Johns Hopkins reinitiated it in 2000, gaining U.S. regulatory approval to study psychedelics in healthy volunteers. Their 2006 landmark study on psilocybin’s safety and enduring positive effects sparked a global renewal of psychedelic research. Today, with over 150 peer-reviewed publications, Johns Hopkins is a leading institution in the field, investigating the therapeutic effects of psychedelics on conditions such as addiction, depression, anxiety, and existential distress. The Center’s mission is to answer critical questions in psychedelic research and therapy, conduct rigorous clinical trials, and provide evidence-based education to clinicians and the broader community, advancing innovative therapeutic approaches for societal benefit.
